175. Quiet Money: Letting Peace, Purpose, and Legacy Be Enough This Christmas
The day after Christmas doesn’t need a plan—it needs permission to breathe.
In this quiet, reflective episode, Laura invites you to pause, exhale, and receive what this season is offering without urgency or pressure. If this year didn’t end the way you expected—or if money suddenly felt small compared to what truly mattered—you’re not behind. You’re human.
From walking through uncertainty and change, to celebrating the completion of her first children’s book Rosie Earns It Herself, Laura shares why financial peace isn’t built through reacting or rushing, but through identity, ownership, and small moments lived with intention. This episode is about quiet money—the kind rooted in awareness, generosity, and becoming, not buying.
There’s no audit today. No reset. No next step required.
Just stillness, gratitude, and the reminder that some of the most important parts of today weren’t purchased—they were experienced.
🎧 Take a slow breath. Let today be enough.

Merry Christmas accelerators. I am so happy to be in your earbuds for just a short period of time, the day after Christmas. I'm so very thankful for you. If you are listening in the car between your family gatherings or while the kids are playing with their gifts, or you're just stealing a few quiet minutes for yourself, I want you to hear this. I'm thankful that you're here, and I'm thankful that you have chosen to be intentional with your time and with your plan for today. There's no strategy, no calculating, no figuring anything else. That's not what today's about. It's about remembering, it's about receiving, and if you will let it, today can be all about resting as well. Sometimes the quiet is not a sign of emptiness, but it's a sign of access. Access back to what matters. Access to clarity, access to peace. And if you've been holding your breath, hold December, trying to make it all work, you can exhale now just for a moment. This year didn't end the way that I thought it would. We walked through fire season here in LA literally watching people we love lose everything, feeling the anxiety of what we would take if we had to leave, wondering what could be replaced, what couldn't. That kind of experienced changes what you value. Maybe you've had something like that this year too, where money suddenly felt very small in the face of what actually matters. Then of course came to school closing and the questions about what to do with my kids, a decision to move my best friend moving away. There are a lot of moving pieces, a lot of, I thought this would look different if I could whisper something to myself at the beginning of 2025, I'd say to myself, Hey. It's not gonna end how you think, but as long as you lean on God and Eric, you're gonna be okay. Maybe that's for you too, except you know, insert your husband's name. Maybe today isn't how you imagined it, but maybe that doesn't mean you're off course. I wanna talk to you about something that I am very proud of this year. I finished my first picture book. It's called Rosie Earns it herself. It's a book teaching kids how to earn money on commission, how to be responsible, how to think beyond instant gratification. And I realize the story wasn't just for kids. It's definitely for the parents, it's for the families, and it's for the legacy that you wanna leave. It represents very deeply what I believe. Financial peace doesn't come from what you buy, it comes from who you're becoming. And every time I choose to create instead of react this year, I am reminded. Legacy is not built in one moment, but many small moments of ownership. Rosie is part of mine. I cannot wait for the spring for you to be able to get it in your hands. It's going to be amazing. Rosie earns it herself. Little Rosie. She's on the very beginning of her financial journey, and I can't wait to share it with you guys. Not everybody though is going to choose transformation. There was something that surprised me this year at a couple that I worked with. In fact, I started taking over their money with my daily money management program. They had everything they needed. They had the system, they had the support, they had the clarity, and they could have completely transformed their lives, and yet they chose not to. It hit me a lot harder than I thought it would, especially now thinking back on it. Because I realized people don't change when they have the information. They change, when they have the identity shift. You can have all the tools, but if you don't believe that you are capable, worthy, and ready, you'll stay stuck. Stuck where comfort feels familiar. Quiet money begins with your identity changing. Not asking, how do I fix this, but who do I want to be in this? My kids are still in the phase where if they get money, they wanna spend it immediately, instantly. But this year they got to shop for kids in need. And do you know what I noticed? I made them slow down. They spent with more intention. They asked more questions. They thought longer about it. They're more careful with giving than with keeping. I saw a glimpse of my legacy because I want my kids to grow up believing that generosity isn't something we do. It's part of who we are. If they're already learning that even in small ways, then this year was definitely a success. One of the best decisions I made this year was hiring a nutritionist, not because I couldn't do it alone, but because I didn't want to keep doing it alone. Working with someone who knew more than me who could guide me, could simplify the process, it wasn't just helpful. It brought me peace, and it reminded me that we don't hire support because we're weak. We hire support because we value peace enough to invite wisdom. That's what I want you to carry into next year. Not the urgency to figure it all out, but the freedom to accept help where peace is needed. Quiet, money is not about silence after chaos. It's about awareness without urgency. It's the moment when you look around and think some of the most important parts of today weren't bought. They were experienced. The laugh. The little moments, a dinner table with people you love. Even if the napkins didn't match and the casserole was slightly overcooked, maybe it's just me. That's legacy. Quiet money honors that you do not have to have a plan today. You don't need to audit anything. You don't need to make up for anything. Today's the day of peace. Let it be. Only that there will always be time to reset. Next week we'll talk strategy, but today be still. Notice what was enough. If in the coming weeks this a noise return, you find yourself craving clarity, not pressure. If you want to approach the new year with peace and purpose, then I'd love to help you step into that intentionally when you're ready and not rushed. Because can't we all be rushed this time of year? You can schedule a clarity. call@accelerateyourlegacy.com slash clarity call. There is no deadline on this. There's no right time. When you're ready, I'll be here. Take one slow breath. Let it in, let it out. Let today be enough. You're doing better than you think you are. Merry Christmas Accelerator. You are making a difference.
